MATT WERNER (CO-WRITER)

Matt is a senior technical writer for Google and is the author of multiple books about the arts scene in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Oakland in Popular Memory and Bay Area Underground. His writing for Google has been translated into 40 languages and quoted in dozens of publications, including The Wall Street Journal. Matt's also the editor of the satirical website Oakland Unseen, where he collaborated with Ise Lyfe on the satirical news web series about Oakland. He recently completed the #BARS Workshop at The Public Theater led by Hamilton’s Daveed Diggs. Matt is a graduate of UC Berkeley (BA in English, Phi Beta Kappa, Highest Honors) and the University of Edinburgh (Masters in English, Winston Churchill Scholar).

Outside of Google and Agnus, Matt is writing and producing Burning Man: The Musical.
